THE BOSS

November 11, 2016

As soon as Obama and Trump met to begin the orderly transfer of the power of the Presidency, the Establishment mantra began and from all sides, allowing as to how Trump now has to reach out, across the aisle, to work with the Schumers and Pelosis of The Swamp, aka D.C.

          Wrong.

These supposed brilliant Swampies now have the post-election as bassackwards as they had the election itself. Human experience demonstrates that it is the job of "the others" to reach out to The Boss and get along with him, her or it, depending on the plumbing.

Assuming Trump is to his own self true and that the democrats are in a hissy fit, he will pleasantly suggest they go off to some private place and reproduce themselves.

My basic assumption about Trump is that he is consistently himself. After all, he has 8 billion dollars and a job from which he realistically can't be removed for at least four years, maybe more. There is no place up for him to go and he is already in the history books forever. Tell me why he needs to kow tow to anyone.

Accordingly, I have difficulty seeing him bend much to the losers. He would rightly think people with that attitude have the world bassackwards. And, as it has usually turns out in this world or the Next, The Boss is right again.

RACIST

November 10, 2016

In looking over the election's various post-mortems, it was made clear that the loser had the substantial support of black, hispanic and Asian minority voters to whom she reached out often and openly. It's not a crime to do that as all will agree.

It was also made clear that the winner had the substantial support of white voters to whom it was alleged he reached out  often and openly.

That, however, appears to be some sort of crime to the MSM pundits who universally alleged such to be racist and bigoted conduct on his part.

And yet they wonder why few trust in their judgment?

I WON

November 9, 2016

In response to John McCain's complaining of the contents of some bill in Congress, then newly minted president Obama famously reminded McCain that he, Obama, had won the election. Let us hope that our incoming president uses that same rubric in response to the impending caterwauling of his opponents to be mindful of the loser's positions in new legislation.

In that vein, I noted that Jack Ma, China's richest man, is calling for Trump to play nice and fair with Beijing. I would advise that as well. For fair, I'd start by demanding reparations for all the trade secrets stolen by Beijing to fuel its economic and military rise. The Chinese are like the Muslims: they respect the strong horse. That is an apt description of Trump. After the election, few dare say he's the horse's rear end anymore.

Trump has said from early on that he likes winners. Methinks he's going to stay that way and that Beijing and other capitals are going to be surprised when he actually does what he said he would do.

After all, he won didn't he?

FURTHER NOTICE

October 23, 2016

As we wrote months ago, the column would be suspended until "further notice". Well, this is my further notice.  We will resume posting on October 26th, a doubly auspicious day as it is, once again, my 39th birthday. Every year about this time, I recall Jack Benny and share his nostalgia for that time in life.

To my millions of faithful readers, rejoice as your curmudgeonly commentor, ever the faithful Blue Dog, is looking forward to one might punnily say: Riposts. [I'm a friend of Bill; Shakespeare, not Clinton.]

See you regulary I pray and your comments are welcome as always.
